The problem with many conservatories is that they can be far TOO NOISY when raining; get TOO HOT in the summer and TOO COLD in the winter and also suffer from SUN GLARE. This is because standard polycarbonate roof systems have few insulating properties. Glazed roof conservatories fare little better and roof blinds make little difference as they are inside the conservatory preventing sun glare and not on the outside of the structure where the rain noise is being created.
